Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Inspector I or II to join our team at the Town of Eagle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building inspections, construction management, or related fields, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to enforcing building codes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with various codes and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to contractors and the public on regulatory matters.
- Assist in enforcing town codes and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and issue necessary warnings or citations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in building inspections, construction management, or related fields (Building Inspector I).
- 5 years performing building inspections, plan review, plan design, construction management, or other related experience (Building Inspector II).
- Ability to obtain ICC certifications within 3 years of employment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
