The Town of Eagle is seeking a highly skilled Building Inspector to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in upholding building, plumbing, energy, and mechanical codes, as well as local ordinances.

This position involves conducting inspections to verify compliance with various codes, providing guidance and support to contractors and the public on regulatory matters, and maintaining accurate inspection records.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with codes.
- Provide guidance and support to contractors and the public on regulatory matters.
- Assist in enforcing town codes and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and issue necessary warnings or citations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year experience in building inspections, construction management, or related fields for Building Inspector I.
- Experience as a general contractor or sub-contractor specializing in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical installations will be considered.
- Ability to obtain 2 ICC certifications within 3 years of employment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- 5 years performing building inspections, plan review, plan design, construction management, or other related experience such as general contractor or project superintendent for Building Inspector II.
- Possess the ability to obtain a total of four (4) ICC certifications for any codes related to Building, Energy, Plumbing and Mechanical within 3 years of employment.
