What are the responsibilities and job description for the Natural Resource Protection Coordinator position at Town of Eagle?
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Natural Resource Protection Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for protecting and preserving Eagle's natural resources, including open spaces, trails, and wildlife habitats.
You will work closely with the public to educate them on open space resource protection and ensure compliance with applicable provisions of the Eagle Municipal Code. This role requires strong communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A valid driver's license and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Additionally, experience working in law enforcement, code enforcement, natural resource management, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the friendly first point of contact to ensure compliance with the applicable provisions of the Eagle Municipal Code
- Perform and oversee maintenance of open space properties and trails
- Plan and implement trail rehabilitation and construction projects
- Monitor and document wildlife activity
- Coordinate volunteer crews for maintenance projects
