About the Position
The Natural Resources and Community Engagement Leader will play a vital role in shaping the future of our open space and trails program. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the development and implementation of conservation initiatives, ensuring alignment with our Open Space & Trails Master Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Town's open space and trail programs
- Plan for the future by developing and executing land acquisition and conservation strategies
- Engage the community by managing the Open Space & Recreation Advisory Committee (OSRAC), facilitating public meetings, and coordinating special events
- Secure funding through grants and budget management to enhance open space and recreation opportunities
- Evaluate and implement sustainable land management practices, weed and pest control programs, and habitat restoration initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Parks & Recreation Administration, Natural Resources Management, or a related field
- 4 years of experience in open space, trails management, or land conservation
- 2 years of supervisory experience
