Eagle's Open Spaces are calling - would you love to spend your days maintaining trails, park benches, and natural areas? As an Open Space Ranger/Maintenance Specialist, you'll split your time between field work and administrative duties.
This role is the eyes and ears of Eagle's Open Space. You'll perform daily patrols, maintenance of trails and natural areas, and educate the public on resource protection.
You'll wear multiple hats, handling responsibilities like:
- Serving as the first point of contact for open space properties, trails, parks, and golf course compliance during winter
- Maintenance of open space properties and trails
- Planning and implementing trail rehabilitation and construction projects
- Monitoring and documenting wildlife activity, trail conditions, and ecological changes
- Coordinating volunteer crews for maintenance projects
- Implementing Leave No Trace principles and promoting trail etiquette
- Supporting special events on open space properties
To succeed, you'll need:
- A High School diploma with 3 years' experience or Associate's degree with 1-2 years' experience
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills
