About the Role
The Town of Eagle is seeking a highly skilled Building Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in upholding building codes and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with codes.
- Provide guidance and support to contractors and the public on regulatory matters.
- Assist in enforcing town codes and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and issue necessary warnings or citations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year experience in building inspections, construction management, or related fields for Building Inspector I.
- Experience as a general contractor or sub-contractor specializing in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical installations will be considered.
- Ability to obtain 2 ICC certifications within 3 years of employment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- 5 years performing building inspections, plan review, plan design, construction management, or other related experience such as general contractor or project superintendent for Building Inspector II.
- Possess the ability to obtain a total of four (4) ICC certifications for any codes related to Building, Energy, Plumbing and Mechanical within 3 years of employment.
