EMT/AMBULANCE DRIVER - Part-time

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EMT Ambulance Driver to join our team at Ellington Volunteer Ambulance Corps. As an EMT Ambulance Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation of patients to medical facilities. You will work closely with other medical professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient safety and the ability to work well under pressure. Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Current EMT certification
• Ability to lift and move patients with assistance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working as an EMT Ambulance Driver
• Advanced life support certification
• Experience working in a fast-paced medical environment

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate an ambulance and transport patients to medical facilities
• Provide basic life support and emergency medical care as needed
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and transport
• Ensure the ambulance is properly stocked and maintained
• Communicate effectively with other medical professionals and emergency responders

Skills:

As an EMT Ambulance Driver, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with other medical professionals and emergency responders. You will also use your knowledge of basic life support and emergency medical care to provide the highest level of patient care. Additionally, you will use your attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records of patient care and transport. Your ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations will be essential in this role.
