What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVENT ASSISTANT position at Town of Fairfield?
Event Assistant is responsible for assisting with special events at both the Jacky Durrell Pavilion and the Penfield Pavilion, including the setup and breakdown and overseeing facility use during events. Events occur on nights and weekends and the Event Assistant will be a year round, part time position.

- Complete setup and breakdown of rental hall as provided by Event Manager
- Oversee facility operations during event
- Clean bathrooms
- Empty garbage cans
- Stock bathrooms
- Enforce rules as outlined by the Department of Parks and Recreation
- Including but not limited to Pavilion rules and Covid-19 social distancing
- Report hazards to Management
- Customer relations
- Professional demeanor with ability to communicate with and assist clients
- Property management and /or catering experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
