What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Clubhouse Supervisor position at Town of Farmington Connecticut?
The Golf Course Clubhouse Supervisor is responsible for the facilitation of the day-to-day operations of golf course facilities through scheduling golfers' starting tee times, providing customer service, through sales of greens fees, season tickets, range tokens and other related goods and/or merchandise, and providing information on course rules and procedures. The Golf Course Clubhouse Supervisor is part of the Farmington Recreation Department and shall be knowledgeable of other activities occurring at the Westwoods Recreation Facility and the community.
GENERAL DUTIES:
The Golf Course Clubhouse Supervisor requires initiative, independent judgment, and diplomacy to maintain favorable golf course use and effective public relations. This position will require light janitorial duties in/around the golf shop and on the golf course on an as needed basis. This class performs related duties as required.
- Customer service: Greet customers, answer phones, and provide information about golf course rules and operations
- Merchandise: Sell merchandise, maintain inventory, and order supplies (if applicable)
- Equipment: Rent equipment, inspect equipment, and perform light maintenance (if applicable)
- Tee times: Reserve tee times and organize player teams
- Tournaments: Assist with tournaments and leagues
- Cash: Operate the cash register, take payments, and make deposits
- Records: Maintain records for transactions, memberships, and inventory
- Cleaning: Clean the pro shop, carts, and other equipment
- Safety: Follow safety regulations and ensure the shop is open and closed properly
