The Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support and coordination for the assigned department, while reporting to the Department Director. Work is characterized by technical and specialized administrative support of various activities within the department. Duties will include support to the department, assisting with departmental budget, tracking and managing workflow, support town personnel, primary department contact for inquires of the general public, assisting with scheduling of meetings, data research, records and data management, purchase processing, compiling information for reports, and assisting with special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED, plus three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in an office environment.

Preferred:

  • post High School coursework in Business Administration or Public Relations
  • experience in human resources
  • familiarity with labor laws
  • computer experience
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License.

NOTE: The full pay range is advertised for information purposes, but the typical hiring range is up to midpoint.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.71 - $29.57 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

  • customer service: 3 years (Preferred)
  • payment processing: 3 years (Preferred)
  • progressive administrative: 3 years (Preferred)
  • office computer: 3 years (Preferred)
  • records management: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Arizona Driver's License (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
