Under direct supervision, assists in processing and cataloging library material and maintaining the library’s online database. Provides back-up for Information Desk services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEX: • Performs copy cataloging of new materials using LCSH, RDA, USMARC, and the Dewey Decimal System.• Conducts bibliographic searches using online databases.• Assists in maintaining the library’s online collection database.• Assists in maintaining quality control of bibliographic and authority records.• Provides backup for Information Desk services.• Assists in maintaining the library collection.• Provides departmental clerical support using copier, fax, personal computer, laminator, and other office machines.• Informs supervisor of all work related activities.• Adheres to departmental, personnel, and safety rules and regulations.• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
