The Town of Fort Laramie is seeking full-time office help. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized office assistant to provide administrative support to the Town and the Town Clerk/Treasurer. The ideal candidate will assist with various office duties, ensuring smooth daily operations. Support the residents and visitors of the Town and the Town Council. This position is required to attend monthly council meetings, which are held after regular operating hours. Out-of-town training will be provided by the town, and is a mandatory part of this job.
Responsibilities
- Manage court/town records and documentation with precision and confidentiality.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate filing systems for various documents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors of the Town office and assist with inquiries.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure proper financial documentation.
- Conduct legal research and assist in drafting legal documents as needed.
- Collaborate with legal staff to support court operations and procedures.
Qualifications
- Office and clerical experience
- Must be bondable
- Pass a background check
- Proficiency in data entry and word processing
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Experience with filing and cash handling
- Ability to conduct research effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
