Key Responsibilities
- Maintain account integrity and process payments (checks, cash, credit cards, and electronic transfers) to appropriate accounts.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in posting payments to the accounting system.
- Communicate with residents, businesses, and other entities to resolve outstanding balances or discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Draft standard correspondence related to delinquent accounts and initiate appropriate collection procedures.
- Generate and distribute invoices and billing statements in accordance with Town practices.
