SUMMARY
Under general supervision, is primarily responsible for providing front-line customer service at the course’s bar area as well as on the course utilizing a mobile vending cart. Seasonal employees are limited to six months of employment. Various schedules can be accommodated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / FUNCTIONS
- Prepares and sells beverages, including alcohol, to golf course customers both inside the clubhouse and on the golf course.
- Operates the golf course’s beverage cart during normal operating hours when assigned.
- Operates a point-of-sale system and monitors inventory to advise management on needs.
- Handles cash and provides for end-of-day balancing of cash and sales receipts.
- Communicates effectively with all members of the golf course staff.
- Drives a golf cart, beverage cart or utility vehicle when necessary.
- Provides for the preparation of minor grab-and-go foods such as sandwiches and hot dogs.
- Provides for housekeeping duties for the food and beverage area, golf shop and restrooms, as needed.
- May perform duties relating to the golf shop, outside services or golf maintenance occasionally and as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to touch, handle, grasp, push and pull. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand and walk for long periods of time, and may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot food and beverages. Work is performed primarily outside; employee may be exposed to extreme temperatures and / or inclement weather conditions. The employee may frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
