This position is an exempt position that provides leadership and strategic direction as manager for the Frisco Historic Park and Museum (FHPM) and as the staff liaison to the Frisco Arts & Culture Council within the Communications, Culture, and Marketing Department. This position requires a high level of knowledge and expertise around historical research, museum operations, archiving, educational and event programming, and public history theory. This position is responsible for leading the museum staff and acting as the Town's historical expert. This position also requires a strategic vision around exhibit development, asset development, and community outreach, as well as planning for and implementation of Frisco's arts and culture programming, as a staff liaison to the Frisco Arts and Culture Council.Current hiring wage range = $82,887.37 - $103,609.21Current full wage range = $82,887.37 - $124,331.05

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervising staff, interns, and volunteers including hiring, training, and performance managementPlanning, developing and implementing the overall vision, mission, programs, processes, and projects for the FHPM using Town Council priorities and community desiresOversight of Museum budget including expenditures, revenues, sponsorships, grants, and projection planning for staffing, capital projects, and other costs under the Museum operations umbrellaDeveloping and maintaining partnerships with local and regional historical organizations through collaborations, contributions, and participation in programs, events, and exhibitionsLeading historic interpretation, setting research priorities, and maintaining industry standards for research and content productionOversight and participation in the documentation, preservation, and distribution of Frisco’s history through research, scholarly writing, presentations, history gathering, and community outreachActively managing the collections management and archive including integrated pest management (IPM), daily care and processes, and development of the collection through donations, loans, and oral historiesStaff member assigned to the Frisco Arts & Culture Council responsible for admin activities and implementing projects and activities as laid out in the five-year strategic plan and directed by the Frisco Arts & Culture CouncilCoordinate maintenance and preservation of historic buildings at the Historic Park with Public Works and acting as a resource for historic preservation within the Town of FriscoOversight and participation in Museum guest service and daily operations including scheduling, gift shop, facility reservations, and daily maintenance and cleaningOversight and participation in community engagement programs including the summer weekly lecture series and the “Frisco As I Remember” projectOversight and participation in exhibition development and the exhibit team, producing new and updated temporary, permanent, and pop-up exhibitions on-site, off-site, and digital, includes interpretive sign upkeepOversight of educational programs including leading field trips and guided tours as necessaryOversight of FHPM publishing imprint, including future publication development and quality controlActing as an advocate for the FHPM and the role of the FHPM in historic preservation, public art, and cultural resources within the Town, Summit County, and the State of ColoradoActing as the representative of the Museum and TOF for public functions, including tv appearances, speaking engagements, and presentations to Town CouncilOther Responsibilities: · Adheres to Town of Frisco policies, competencies, standards, and regulations including but not limited to proper attire, safety procedures, and overall professionalism.· Ability to function and make good decisions in the absence of a supervisor.· Communicates with Town of Frisco employees, citizens, customers and vendors in a professional, courteous and timely manner both verbally and in writing.· Performs other job duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.· Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.
