What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent of Public Works position at Town of Genesee?
The Town of Genesee is seeking an energetic leader to serve as Superintendent of Public Works. The Superintendent of Public Works directs and oversees employees, all street and road maintenance, repair and construction, all park maintenance projects, repairs and development of Town Parks. The Superintendent also directs and oversees all aspects of snow removal and must be available 24/7 from November 1st through May 1st in case of snow and/or ice. The job also requires the preparation and administering of an annual budget for the operation of the Highway Department, as well as preparing and maintaining a PASER rating system for all town streets and roads. In addition, this position is responsible for implementing safety procedures and safety training for all park, and highway employees. Attend monthly Town Board meetings.
Job Requirements: Maintains current and up to date valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Pass a Background Check. Have a High School diploma or equivalent. Previous public works experience preferred.
