The Industrial Pretreatment Inspector reports to the Pretreatment Program Coordinator. The primary job duties of this position include:
Work schedule for this position: Monday through Thursday, 5AM to 3:30PM.
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.

The Industrial Pretreatment Inspector reports to the Pretreatment Program Coordinator. The primary job duties of this position include:
- Participate in accomplishing organization, departmental and work group goals and objectives.
- Reviews plans, conduct inspections, investigations and follow-ups with industrial and commercial establishments.
- Verifies compliance with Town code requirements and takes any appropriate action.
- Provides information, education and assistance to wastewater quality branch customers.
- Responds to questions, suggestions, comments, concerns and customer complaints related to wastewater quality.
- Conducts sampling and flow studies at business facilities, manholes, lift stations, metering stations, wastewater treatment facilities and other locations. This requires conducting confined space entries.
- Prepares, issues and revises Wastewater Discharge Permits.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years or more of experience in industrial/commercial pretreatment processes, environmental code enforcement, regulatory compliance, environmental sampling, or wastewater utility operations.
- Associate's degree in the same, highly preferred.
- Must possess or can obtain MS4 Compliance & Code Enforcement Certified Inspector within 1 year of hire or promotion.
- Competency in related PC-based technology.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
- ADEQ Grade I Wastewater Collections or Wastewater Treatment Certification within 1 year
- Valid AZ Driver's License
