This is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation and offers the option of 4 - 10-hour days or 5 - 8 hour days.

The Instrumentation & Control Specialist reports to the Investigations Lieutenant. The primary job duties of this position include:
- Maintains and repairs various flow and measuring equipment such as ultrasonic magnetic flow meters, temperatures, pH, chlorine, Ozone, fluoride and turbidity analyzers.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues as they arise.
- Installs, maintains, and analyzes malfunctions using the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and makes needed repairs.
- Use multi-meter and other instruments to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
- Updates computerized maintenance management system to prepare and process work orders and SOPs.

- Associate's degree in electronics or a closely related field or a two-year technical certificate.
- 3 years of experience in electronics, instrumentation, calibration, computerized control systems, programmable logic controllers and installation/repair of electrical equipment, preferably in a water plant environment.
- Must possess or obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license.
- Must possess or obtain both an ADEQ Grade 1 Water Treatment Plant Operator and Grade 1 Distribution System Operator certification within (12) months of being hired.
- Wonderware, iFix, Rockwell, Schneider or similar software certification.
- PLC programming certification and/or electrical certification.
