Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Police Communications Shift Supervisor.
The Police Communications Shift Supervisor reports to the Police Communications Manager. The primary function of this position is to supervise shift level operations related to emergency and non-emergency calls for public safety services in a 24/7 public safety emergency communications center. This position oversees the activities and performance of Dispatcher I's and Dispatcher II's to ensure the receipt and processing of calls are received and dispatched to police field units according to established policies and procedures.

- Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned staff
- Oversees and monitors emergency communications center operations; resolves employee questions
- Ensures emergency and non-emergency police, fire, and medical calls, as well as after-hours requests for Town services, are effectively processed
- Reviews logs, reports, and other records completed by employees to ensure accurate processing
- Resolves internal and external concerns and complaints to include, but not limited to: performing investigations, drafting executive summaries, providing coaching and counseling

- Three years of recent experience as a public safety dispatcher AND one of the following:
- Associate's degree (preferred); OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as supervisory experience or college credits.
- Must be able to obtain a Level A Terminal Operator Certification within 6 months of hire date
- The most highly qualified candidates will be invited to complete CritiCall testing as part of the evaluation process
- Police Communications Supervisors work rotating shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading by example and will take a positive, results-oriented approach to supervision.

Salary : $38 - $53
