The Recreation Instructor reports to the Recreation Coordinator. The primary job duties of this position include:
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.

The Recreation Instructor reports to the Recreation Coordinator. The primary job duties of this position include:
- Curriculum planning, implementing programs and/or classes, classroom management by adapting to participant's needs and behaviors, instruction of specialized courses or skills.
- Record keeping by maintaining attendance sheets, participant contact information and liability waivers, maintaining confidentiality and using discretion when speaking with parents
- Make recommendations as to enhance and optimize class participation.
- Maintain and inspect all classroom tools and equipment.
- The primary function of this position is to teach a wide range of recreation classes for early childhood to adult age groups.

- Current national fitness certifications are required
- One year of formal fitness teaching experience
- Be able to develop and implement age appropriate fitness classes
- Skilled and passionate about teaching in a structured, fun recreation environment
- Minimum of an 8-12 week teaching commitment. This can be on ongoing position depending upon availability and facility needs.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification are preferred, but not required
- Age requirement: Must be 18 years
