The Stormwater Utility Technician reports to the Stormwater Utility Supervisor. The primary job duties of this position include:
- Visually inspects storm water inlets and outfalls.
- CCTV inspections of underground storm water infrastructure.
- Oversees contractors cleaning storm lines.
- Inspect all Town-owned dry wells, input report and recommendations of necessary maintenance.
- Inspect all Town-owned retentions for washouts and perk rates and make maintenance recommendation as needed.
- Install storm drain markers.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience in stormwater, water, wastewater utility infrastructure inspections and repairs.
- 2-3 years of experience in concreate forming and repair work.
- 3 years of experience in storm water inspections.
- 3 years in heavy equipment operation.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement at the time of hire or promotion. Or obtain within six (6) months of hire or promotion.
- NPDES Storm Water Inspector Certification within six (6) months to one (1) year of hire or promotion.
- Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Certification within six (6) months to one (1) year of hire or promotion.
- OSHA 30-Hour Hazwoper Certification within six (6) months to one (1) year of hire or promotion.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and extreme temperatures that are part of Arizona climate.
