What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Monitor position at Town of Greenwich?
General Statement: Depending on assignment given to individual, drives to various Athletic Fields in Town, checking user field permits for validity. Additional duties include explaining policies, answering questions and enforcing basic regulations, using good judgment and Police resources in extreme situations. If assigned to Greenwich High School, walks/drives about field complex, checking to ensure users have a valid field permit, directs users to fields, watches for parking violations, and other violations or unsafe conditions. Assists participants, coaches, officials and spectators as needed. Requests enforcement assistance as needed. Other duties include, answering questions, crowd control and enforcing rules that are specific to artificial turf athletic fields. All positions require heavy public contact, exceptional communication skills and reasonable discretion. Uniform shirts provided.
Season: Mid March – Late November
Approx. Hours Per Week: 8-18, depending on the time of the year.
Must possess valid driver's license and have dependable transportation.
Salary : $17 - $18
