POSITION: Assistant Town Clerk
Town Clerk’s Department
Full-time, 35 hours per week
STARTING RATE:$28.68/hour
POSITION RANGE:$28.68-32.95/hour
POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Assists the Town Clerk in recording and reporting of land records and vital statistics and in administration of elections.
The skills and knowledge required would generally be acquired with a high school education and four years general office experience. Ability to type. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Attention to detail and cash handling experience desired. Attendance at night meetings to record proceedings is required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Certification by the Connecticut Town Clerks Association or working towards the certification is desirable.
