Full-Time, 35 hours per week
STARTING RATE: $35.28 / hour
POSITION RANGE: $35.28 - $40.53 / hour
POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Social Worker II provides increasingly responsible social casework and non-clinical support services to individuals and families through referral or direct provision of services. Interviews individuals and families to identify needs and establish eligibility for social services. Provides case management, makes referrals to state and community social and health agencies, and assists clients in understanding and interpreting rules and regulations governing eligibility and methods of payments. Prepares reports, drafts information releases, and prepares and maintains case records. Develops and maintains contact with various state, community, and local social service agencies.
The skills and knowledge required would generally be acquired with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and two years’ experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with four years’ experience. Experience in determining eligibility for local, state, and federal assistance programs preferred. Multi-lingual speaking and writing ability preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License required.
