Members of the Beach Crew perform a variety of important functions, including collecting litter from roadways, sidewalks and parking lots along Hampton Beach , town beaches, and public areas and roadways in Hampton.Minimum Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age and be able to pass a pre-employment physical and background check. Beach Crew workers must be able to work on the weekends.
Ability and skill in the use of tools and equipment necessary for the job; ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; ability to perform moderate physical labor under adverse weather and/or working conditions; ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees.

Employee spends most of the day standing/walking or operating equipment. Performs light to moderate physical labor. Stoops; kneels; crouches; and/or crawls. Frequently lifts and/or moves objects weighing up to 25 pounds such as tools; equipment; trash containers; etc. Manually operates department tools and equipment.
Majority of work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to dirt; dust; grease; garbage; refuse and other disagreeable materials. Subject to the hazards associated with road work sites; collecting rubbish; and working with/around vehicles and tools. Work environment can be loud.
