The Water Efficiency Coordinator is a newly created position at the Town of Johnstown, established as part of our Strategic Planning initiative to prioritize water efficiency and conservation. This role plays a key part in advancing the Town’s Water Efficiency & Conservation strategy. The Coordinator will oversee and implement various water efficiency and conservation initiatives, including managing, monitoring, and reporting on indoor and outdoor water demands to achieve the Town’s goals. A primary responsibility will be developing a comprehensive Water Efficiency and Conservation Plan to enhance community-wide water use efficiency. This involves applying science-based methodologies and industry best practices for water demand management, as well as monitoring and analyzing water use data. The position requires a mix of independent and collaborative work, engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders to create and execute programs, policies, plans, goals, and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate is a skilled water professional with strong data management and analytical abilities, capable of fostering relationships with diverse groups to deliver meaningful community benefits and exceptional service to Johnstown’s residents, businesses, and leaders.
