Duties for the Water Treatment Plant Operator include evaluating raw water and finished water quality characteristics and ensuring clean and safe water is delivered to the community. Applying the use of water treatment processes and chemicals while consistently evaluating treatment performance and efficiency. Conducting a variety of troubleshooting and maintenance tasks, including minor repairs at the water treatment facilities. This non-exempt position is responsible for operating, monitoring, controlling, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting the processes within the Water Treatment Plant and associated remote storage tanks and pump stations. Works under the direct supervision of the Chief Water Treatment Operator.
