What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Building Official position at Town of Killingly?
The Town of Killingly is seeking a full-time Assistant Building Official to enforce State and local Building Codes, Town ordinances and other safety regulations. Must possess knowledge of building design and construction and the ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a college, university or technical school plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the building construction industry OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license required. Certification as a State of Connecticut Building Official required within two (2) years of date of hire.
