What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water/Wastewater Technician position at Town of Lexington?
The Town of Lexington is looking for motivated individuals that enjoy or would enjoy working in the water and wastewater industry. We offer a competitive starting salary with merit raises, promotional path, a sign-on bonus and pay 100% of the employee’s benefits. As part of our team, you will perform various work of moderate difficulty needed to operate, maintain and repair water distribution and wastewater collection systems with the top priority of protecting public health and the environment. These positions are considered essential personnel. A SC class B CDL with tanker endorsement, SC Water Distribution Operator-Class D certification and the WEASC Collection System-Class D certification must all be obtained within two years and maintained thereafter. Positions exist for experienced operators / technicians that currently hold higher certifications.
