• Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the physical, social, and
emotional development of students
• Responsible for organizing innovative games and challenges that promote physical activity among all students from grades PreK-2
• Plan well-structured lessons that have varied learning experiences to meet student needs
• Plan and implement adaptive PE classes for PreK-2 students
• When needed, collaborate with classroom teachers to support specific student needs which may include gym preview and other strategies
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, families, and staff
• Collaborates well with colleagues of diverse backgrounds on pedagogical approaches, curricular alignment including Universally Designed Learning, and instructional strategies
• Other duties assigned by the building administration
