Overview:
Full-time School Year (10-month)
Littleton Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join the team at Littleton Middle School. The ideal candidate will promote student health, provide emergency care, manage chronic health conditions, and serve as a key resource in creating a safe and healthy school environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, illness, and chronic disease management
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies
Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Monitor immunization compliance and conduct vision, hearing, and other mandated screenings
Collaborate with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers to support student health and learning
Development and implementation of individual health care plans (IHPs) and emergency action plans
Promote health education and wellness programs within the school community
Respond to medical emergencies and participate in school crisis response
Ensure implementation of district-wide health policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with state and federal regulations.
Ensure compliance with public health mandates, immunization requirements, and communicable disease reporting.
