The Town of Lunenburg seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Council on Aging Director.
Under the general supervision of the Town Manager and the policy direction of the Council on Aging Board, performs professional, administrative, and supervisory work in developing and implementing the programs and services of the Council on Aging (COA) to meet the needs and enhance the quality of life of the town’s older adult population. Oversee the Lunenburg Adult Activity Center (LAAC), the LAAC parking lot, and grounds. Responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under the direction and control of the position. Exercises considerable initiative, creativity and independent judgment in planning, administration, and execution of the department programs and services. Employee is required to work independently in formulating decisions regarding policies, procedures, operations and plans for all areas of responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree with 5 full-time years of service preferred and/or 10 years in similar setting with supervisory management, experience in adult programming, transportation, gerontology, human relations or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of municipal budget management and oversight experience. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience. MCOA Senior Center Director certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Valid Driver’s License.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) benefited, Salary Administration position. Pay Range: $39.86/hr.-$49.04/hr.
