Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as our next Assistant Superintendent of Public Works.
About the Role
- Supervise full-time and part-time staff to manage, direct, and coordinate construction and maintenance projects within the Public Works Department.
- Manage roads, public rights-of-way, water distribution, sewer collection, buildings and grounds, and solid waste collection.
Requirements
- Prior experience with water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, road construction, maintenance of traffic, and safety regulations required.
- Ability to develop and communicate work plans and schedules to staff is imperative.
Qualifications
- A combination of education and experience in public works will be considered.
- Virginia CDL Class A or B required to be obtained within 12 months.
Working Conditions
- This is an essential position requiring physically demanding work in adverse weather conditions.
