Position Announcement
Full-Time Firefighter/EMT
Job Overview:
The Town of Mansfield is looking to fill 4 Full-Time firefighter/emergency medical technician (EMT) positions for its Fire and Emergency Services Department. A sample listing of duties includes: responding to fire, rescue, hazardous materials and other incidents and performing complex tasks during potentially life threatening situations; responding to medical emergencies, evaluating patient condition and providing appropriate treatment; driving and operating fire apparatus, ambulance and other vehicles applying proper procedures; documenting emergency incidents and patient records on reports and journals. Additional duties include performing maintenance checks, operational tests, minor maintenance and repair functions, and general housekeeping. Firefighter/EMTs work both as a member of a team and independently.
Qualifications:
Candidates are required to hold the following certifications: Firefighter I; Firefighter II; CPAT; EMT-B, with DEFIB; Hazardous Materials Operational Level; Q endorsement or CDL A or B or equivalent on a valid driver’s license. Ambulance technician experience is highly desirable. Preferred candidates will be subject to an employment physical, drug/alcohol screening, and comprehensive background check (criminal, motor vehicle, etc.).

Salary (1/1/2022):
Salary Range $30.92-33.92
