Expected Hiring Range: $20.65/hour - $25.30/hour
Salary Range: $20.65/hour - $29.94/hour

- placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
- Performs skilled inspections, diagnoses, maintenance and repair of Water Reclamation Facility equipment.
- Assists in the preparation of work orders for scheduled equipment repair or rehabilitation; completes scheduled work orders to fulfill assigned tasks in the maintenance and repair of water reclamation facility and lift station equipment.
- Operates and maintains a variety of heavy tools and equipment, small power tools and hand tools; performs a variety of shop work incidental to assigned maintenance activity.
- Coordinate and communicate with Site Operators in shutting down equipment for planned maintenance.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs in adverse weather conditions
- Work beyond scheduled work hours to complete emergency repairs on system-critical equipment.Â
- Assist operations staff as needed.
- Ability to work with and troubleshoot low voltage equipment and circuits, 600 volts and/or less. Â Follow all required L/O-T/O-T/O safety procedures. Â Skilled in terminating, testing, and verifying equipment is correctly wired. Â Ability to utilize a Fluke multimeter.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training.
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, Explorer, and the capabilities of learning the Asset Management Cartegraph system for job assignments and recording.
- Over 6 months of experience in providing maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of equipment and parts of a wastewater treatment plant, reclamation, or water production facility, or a closely related field.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Arizona Driver License.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, 50lb lift test, and respirator questionnaire exam.
- Ability to pass the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
- One year of experience in areas such as lubrication and servicing of mechanized equipment, pumps, small engines, blowers, gas and air compressors, or ventilation systems and related duties, such as the maintenance of parts and supply inventories and the maintenance of service records.
- ADEQ Grade I Certification in Wastewater Collections and Wastewater Treatment
- Experience with performing work on de-energized electrical and hydraulic charged equipment and machinery.
