The Town of Marana is seeking an Equipment Operator I to work in the Public Works Department. Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
High school diploma or GED equivalencyOver three years experience in road maintenance, construction, or related field operating heavy equipmentMust possess an Arizona (Class A) Commercial Driver License (CDL) w/Tanker Endorsement or must obtain within 6 months of employmentSubject to random testing per DOT (FMSCA) requirementsMust pass a pre-employment physical, a 50-pound lift test, and audiogramAbility to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records checkAn equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be consideredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEquipment transport – transport, haul and/or drive equipment Surveying experience - shoot gradeComputer base work-order experienceRECRUITMENT PROCESSIf you meet the minimum requirements, submit a completed Town of Marana application which can be supplemented with a resume and cover letter.
