The Town of Marana is seeking a Parks and Recreation Lead Maintenance Associate to work in the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in leading operators, inmates and work activities in the maintenance and repair of the Town's infrastructure.

- placement within the expected salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
- Leads assigned staff and/or inmate crews; provides service to internal and external customers.
- Tracks and manages work orders, work flow, materials and supplies. Â
- Performs routine skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks; inspects, cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
- Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Call, clear and document Blue Stake.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training
- Over three years' experience in commercial or residential landscaping, commercial/custodial manual labor, or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year inmate supervision experience
- AZDA-PMD Certified Applicator
- Structural Pest Control Certification - right of waysÂ
- Valid Arizona Driver License
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, 50-pound lift test and audiogram
- Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
- Ability to pass the Arizona Department of Corrections backgroundÂ
- Obtain inmate certification post-hire through the Department of Corrections in order to supervise inmates (provided by the Town post hire)
- Must obtain one certification of the following within 9 months: Certified Arborist, or Arizona Certified Pesticide Applicator
