Grant Administrator – Full Time

Position Function:

Reporting to the Finance Director, this position is responsible for identifying, applying for, and managing grants, as well as helping to ensure compliance with all Federal and/or State policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. This position will also provide the administration of the Community Preservation Act Funds and assist with general accounting duties as required by supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grant contract administration activities including developing grant contract documents; administering grant rules, regulations, and requirements; developing grant amendment requests; tracking project activities, and preparing project status reports for all federal, state and local agencies.
  • Developing and maintaining multiyear funding plans and financial models.
  • Coordinating with the Capital Improvement Planning Committee to identify recommended funding sources for capital projects.
  • Assisting with internal and external financial or grant-related audits and reviews.
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis of local, state, and federal financial and operating reports.
  • Following high-level independent analysis of current and potential funding sources.
  • Prepare and oversee the completion of federal and state required grant reports.
  • Prepare and oversee the completion of Community Preservation Act Fund projects documentation.
  • Perform general accounting duties in accordance with prescribed procedures; assist in day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or combination of position related work experience and education.
  • Four years of experience in public sector financial or management analysis or equivalent experience including capital budgeting or planning, grants administration and analysis.
  • General knowledge of Federal, state, and regional funding programs, regulations, and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in municipal planning, transportation and infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, state, and regional funding programs, regulations, and processes.
  • Experience with MUNIS financial software

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Work Location: Onsite

Salary: $63,575 depending on qualifications and experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $63,575.00 per year
