Alternate Plumbing & Gas Inspector Job Description
The Town of Mashpee Building Department is seeking a qualified Alternate Plumbing & Gas Inspector to work on an on-call, as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative, technical, and inspection work related to the enforcement and interpretation of the Massachusetts State Plumbing Code and the Massachusetts Code for the Installation of Gas Appliances and Gas Piping.
- Conduct skilled inspections and reviews of a technical nature requiring considerable judgment to ensure compliance with proper standards and enforcement of pertinent laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- MA Plumber and Gas Fitter License required
- Five years of supervisory experience as a MA licensed Journeyman Plumber and Gas Fitter
- Master Plumber License preferred
- Valid MA driver's license (Class D)
- C.O.R.I. background check clearance
