**About the Role:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Youth Services Librarian to manage the daily operations of our youth department. This includes developing and implementing programs, maintaining collections, and providing excellent customer service to patrons.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the youth department, including program planning, budgeting, and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain the youth collection, including selecting books, media, and online resources.
- Provide reference and research assistance to patrons, both in-person and virtually.
**Requirements:**
- Masters degree in library science (MLS/MLIS) required; at least one year professional experience working in a public library, providing direct customer service in person, via telephone and/or electronically preferred.
- Knowledge of children's and young adult literature and experience with program planning and implementation preferred.
- Excellent customer service, computer, and communication skills required.
