Meredith, NH (6,800 pop.), seeks an experienced leader, collaborator, facilitator and
communicator to serve as the next Town Manager. Located in central New Hampshire in the
scenic Lakes Region, Meredith is well known for four season adventurous outdoor recreation
such as hiking, boating, fishing, and kayaking along with “on-ice” activities of snowmobiling, ice
fishing and hockey. With Concord, the State capital, 45 minutes south, the NH White
Mountains about one hour north and the Seacoast of NH just 90 minutes away, the Lakes
Region offers the right candidate an outstanding blend of cultural activities, outdoor pursuits
and quiet spaces. Known for its warm, friendly hospitality and its active lakefront lifestyle,

The Town Manager is appointed by the Selectboard pursuant to NH RSA Chapter 37 and
oversees an operating budget of approximately $20 million with approximately 67 full-time and
48 part-time employees. There are 12 direct reports to the Manager. There is one collective
bargaining agreement for DPW and Water employees. The next Manager should be a strong
and regular communicator of information to the Board and the public, possess demonstrated
managerial and interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently lead and motivate a dynamic
staff, and be active and visible with employees and residents.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred in a related field and 5 to
7 years of progressively responsible executive level municipal experience or equivalent
combination of education and experience that demonstrates likely success in the position.
Salary range to $160k; starting salary commensurate with qualifications. Meredith is an equal
