Truck Driver / Laborer Position

Milford Department of Public Works is seeking a few qualified individuals to fill the positions of Truck Driver / Laborer (Grade 13) within our Public Works Department. This is an awesome opportunity to enter the municipal sector.
Duties will include, but are not limited to : maintaining a safe workplace, the operation of construction equipment, snow and ice removal, landscaping / construction, vehicle / ground building maintenance, paving, storm water / drainage and other duties as assigned. Candidate must be able to understand and follow oral and written directives.
Excellent benefits to include : NH Retirement System participation, 2 weeks' vacation per year, 3 personal days, 12 holidays (all leave time pro-rated year 1), vision, health and dental insurance and more.
Medical options include : 3 HMO plans. One with 85 / 15 premium split, one Limited Provider plan with 100% of the premium paid and one High Deductible HSA plan with 100% of the premium paid. If opting out of health insurance (requires proof of coverage on another group plan), we provide opt out amount of $4,714.56 annually (single, 2per or family = $196.44 / pay period).
A successful applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have a NH Class B CDL ( REQUIRED) - Class A CDL is preferred, have a High School diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience within the area of winter / summer municipal road maintenance; OR possess any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the required knowledge, skill and ability. Pay is competitive and DOE.
