What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Instructor position at Town of Morrisville?
The Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center is seeking passionate, part-time Group Fitness Instructors to lead high-energy, engaging classes. We have opportunities for instructors to teach senior-focused classes, as well as high-energy boot camp and strength training classes. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and adept at tailoring class formats to accommodate various fitness levels and meet the needs of our diverse community. We are specifically looking for individuals with early morning to midday availability, along with the flexibility to work occasional Saturdays.
- Lead and instruct group fitness classes in a safe and effective manner.
- Substitute for regular instructors as needed.
- Demonstrate proper form and technique for all exercises.
- Modify exercises for participants of all fitness levels.
- Motivate and encourage participants to achieve their fitness goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure that all workout equipment is organized and stored properly after class.
- Candidates with relevant education, certifications, and experience teaching group fitness classes are strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and skill levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
