Hiring Range: $55,236.00 - $63,000.00
Performs planning and implementation of programs, activities, events, classes, social activities and trips for senior citizens (55 ). Work includes providing supervision over part-time and volunteer workers. Work includes supervision of part-time staff. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Center Manager.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in parks and recreation management or related field, with some experience in recreation or leisure programming with an emphasis on senior 55 programming.

- Plans, promotes and leads the implementation of a variety of programs, activities and trips for seniors (55 ) .• Assists with managing part-time and volunteer personnel including interviews, training, scheduling, supervision, and recommends disciplinary actions, as needed.
- Provides facility operational support for the Morrisville Senior Center including supervision of part-time staff.
- Providing positive customer service experiences to program participants, the general public and coworkers.
- Develops and submits new program and event proposals including activity descriptions, budget estimates and revenue projections.
- Solicits vendor proposals, submits recommendations and executes approved purchases for supplies and materials needed for programs and activities.
- Submits appropriate information for expenditure and revenue reports, program review and analysis reports and staff work plans.
- Offers recommendations annually in the development of the future year’s department budget requests for the assigned program section.
- Offers recommendations toward establishment of fees for programs and registrations in accordance with the Town’s Fees and Charges policies.
- Maintains a flexible work schedule during program and facility operating hours as well as providing assistance with other departmental programs and events, as necessary.
- Serves as a staff liaison to the Senior Advisory Committee to seek their feedback for current programs and new program ideas.
- Performs related work as required.
