What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant-Collector's Office position at Town of Natick?
The Town of Natick currently has two vacancies in Collector's Office and is accepting applications and resumes for Administrative Assistant positions. Under the direction of the Collector/ Treasurer, as well as, the Assistant Collector, applicants will be responsible for effectively working with the general public and providing exceptional customer service.
In addition to taking real estate tax payments, personal property tax, motor vehicle tax, water and other payments in the form of cash, and checks, this position requires competence in both technical and clerical skills associated with billing procedures.
The ideal candidate will preferably have an Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field, as well as a minimum of two years of experience working in a detail-oriented environment. Candidates must maintain confidentiality and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience and/or knowledge of collection principles, including interest and penalties, is preferred.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, etc.
- Working knowledge of town departmental operations and functions is ideal.
- Minimum of two years of administrative work experience is preferred.
- Prior experience of principles related to collections, interest and penalties
- Previous cash management is required.
- Munis System experience is highly preferred.
- Associate Degree in Business or in a related field.
