Public Works Laborer/ Utility Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer/Utility Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support our operations including wastewater treatment, water and sewer, building maintenance, and snow removal. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Duties

• Assist with wastewater treatment operations.
• Perform general labor tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Building and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Water and sewer operations.
• Snow removal operations
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Public Works is preferred but not mandatory.
• A valid Driver's license
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Must be able to follow instructions and adhere to safety standards at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
