Job Description
Slide Dispatchers are responsible for sending riders down the slides at safe intervals while enforcing applicable facility and slide rules with all patrons (such as height restrictions). The working season for this position is Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Duties / Essential Job Functions
- Watch the feature to determine when a rider has exited the slide or watch for visual signals from lifeguard below
- Communicate with patron that the slide & catch pool below are clear and it is safe to ride down
- Prevent riders from entering the slide before it is safe
- Stop dispatch and sound air horn alarm in the event of an emergency
Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
Desirable Training and Experience
No previous experience or training is required. This is an excellent position for entry-level work experience. Must be 16 years or older due to working on elevated slide platforms.
There are no benefits for temporary positions.
