What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Art Director (Day Camp Ages 3-5) position at Town of North Castle?
Qualifications:
* At least 1 year Pre-school teaching/art teaching/childcare
* 25 years or older
Under direct supervision of Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director, applicants must demonstrate their passion for arts and crafts and have a minimum of one year working with young children, 3 - 5 years of age. Applicants must have excellent planning and organizational skills and must be creative to plan for six weeks of age -appropriate and fun activities together with organizing the materials needed for each project. The successful applicant must be both a self-starter, and be able to lead staff to assist campers with projects making arts and crafts engaging and accessible for campers of all ability levels. Finally, they must have both excellent time-management skills and the ability to be flexible.
Specific Duties may include but not limited to:
* Plan materials for and directions for completing multiple projects with each camp group over the six weeks
* Lead staff to assist campers with projects and to prepare for camp events as needed
* Support weekly camp themes in planning for arts and crafts projects
* Participate in preparation sessions for camp prior to camp start date, possibly on one or two weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
