What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Director position at Town of North Castle?
Description of Duties: Oversee and direct the operation and training of the Lifeguard staff in all facets of the aquatic operations with special emphasis on safety, first-aid techniques and procedures;
- Planning the Lifeguard orientation;
- Coordinate private pool parties and private lessons;
- Assign Lifeguards and front desk staff work schedule, special tasks and posts;
- Gives first-aid and records a first-aid log book;
- Participate in, schedule and evaluate daily Lifeguard in-service training sessions;
- Supervises the general care and cleaning of pool facilities, including maintenance of all program areas and minor repairs to equipment;
- Assists in maintaining discipline among Lifeguards and front desk staff;
- Lifeguard and front desk evaluations;
- Supervises enforcement of pool rules and regulations;
- Supervision of the swimming programs, including the learn-to-swim, advanced instruction sessions, special events and Camp;
- Provides written reports/logs on all daily events, incidences and accidents;
- Assists in the major responsibility of operating and maintaining the facility filtration and chlorinating systems with the aid of a Lifeguard staff and/or other maintenance personnel;
- Assists in coordinating and maintaining the cleanliness of the bathrooms, deck and bathing area prior to, during operating hours;
- Required to work/ guard if we are short staffed.
- Must conduct a private lessons or pool parties if unable to find proper coverage.

Requirements / Certifications:
Age 21 ONLY; ideal candidates will possess current - LGI/CPR/AED, LGI and WSI.
LGI & CPO preferred but not required. 2 years LG experience ideal.
NOTE: Salary is based on season length. Compensated rain or shine.

Pay: $10,000.00 - $16,000.00 per year
