Overview
The Program Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of various programs within our organization. Duties
- Assist in the planning and execution of program development activities.
- Support fundraising efforts by coordinating events and managing donor communications.
- Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling to ensure effective program delivery.
- Conduct research and data collection to evaluate program impact and inform future initiatives.
- Oversee social media management to promote programs and engage with the community.
- Collaborate with team members on public health projects and initiatives.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
- Supervise volunteers during events and programs to ensure smooth operations.
Skills

Education and Experience High school diploma; experience working in human services preferred; experience working with older adults desired. Knowledge, Ability and Skill
Knowledge: Basic knowledge of knowledge of human service network, particularly services for older adults; knowledge of elder issues; and awareness of neurocognitive impairments including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Ability: Ability to work effectively with the participants, caregivers, volunteers, and colleagues; ability to interact compassionately with those with neurocognitive impairments and their caregivers; ability to identify and report unsafe conditions and/or situations; ability to understand and follow all program policies and procedures; ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner; and ability to meet CORI standards as set by the Town of Orleans and the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.

Pay: $18.14 - $22.07 per hour
